    Information About Topaz:

    The word Topaz comes from the Sanskrit word "tapas", meaning "fire".

    Most Topaz in its natural state is somewhat colorless; most blue topaz is irradiated ro heat treated to produce various hues.

    In recent years it has been fashionable to treat Topaz stones with vapor deposition to add strong color play. Thses stones are marketed with a myriad of fancy names such as "mystic", "Jasmine Cloud", "Neptune Garden", and other similar fast-talking car salesman BS.
