Tanzanite was discovered in Tanzania in 1967, and this is the only place in the world where it has yet been found.
This stone possesses a deep violet blue hue that is somewhat similar to Ceylon Sapphire and Iolite. It is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful gemstones.
Tanzanite is considered a good investment gemstone due to its short supply and uncertainty of continued availability.

SHAPES FOR CUTTING: Suitable for all facet shapes. Trillion and Marquis cut are especially popular. It is somewhat brittle, so care should be taken not to subject it to extreme temperature fluctuations such as steam cleaning.
