Moldavite
Information About Moldavite:
This gemstone is a member of the tektite family and is only found in Czechoslovakia. It is the only member of the tektite family that is suitable for use in jewelry making.
The beautiful green color of the stones is attributed to the presence of aluminum oxide. It is named after the moldau river in bohemia.
One theory on the origin of Moldavite is that it may have been deposited on Earth as a result of a lunar explosion 15 million years ago, or from a meteor impact.
