Citrine
Information About Citrine:
Citrine is the yellow variety of quartz. It gets it's name from "Citron" because of its lemony yellow color.
Citrine is most commonly mined in Brazil but is also found in other areas of the world including Madagascar, Burma, Scotland, Russia, and Spain.
Citrine is closely related to Amethyst, and sometimes both varieties can occur in the same stone, creating a dramatic two-tone effect, similar to that found in fluorite.
