Information About Andalusite: Was originally discovered in the Spanish province of Andalusia, hence the name Andalusite. Most andalusite is mined in Brazil and Sri Lanka.

COMMON GEM COLORS: This is a pleochroic gem; different colors show in different directions depending on light conditions. Generally a range of brownish to greenish earth tones.
